Mini Apple |
a slice of my life tucked safely in my little corner of the internet. |
when i was in 4th grade right before christmas vacation, the door to my classroom opened just a crack and a tiny little ball of white fur wobbled in with a big red bow around her neck. that little pup walked through rows of screaming children to my desk, curled in a little ball underneath and gave me a huge puppy smile.
we both knew she was coming home with me after school that day. what we didn’t know is that she would continue smiling at me well into my twenties.
last night after a long struggle with various health problems, cheyennie went to run circles around doggy heaven. i saw her this past weekend and i knew it was time. she had a look in her eyes that said, “alright guys, i know you love me but please let me leave with some dignity”. its very hard to make that choice but sometimes it has to be done.
RIP cheyennie. 16 years young.
