mini-apple, meet big-apple.
a couple months ago, i put in my two (three-ish) week notice at my previous employer to pursue another opportunity in the mini-apple. i have been at new job for long enough now to say, with conviction, it was good move. things are all a falling into place at once. funny how that works, huh?
anywho, this is not a post about my work life saga. it is a post about the trip i decided to take to celebrate my new job/take advantage of a week without ANY employer. what better place to be recklessly unemployed (for 5 days) than NYC?
josh and i booked the trip about 2 days after i accepted the position. we had been experiencing severe wanderlust and, well, i just booked it.
we were fortunate enough to be put up in my wonderfully hospitable, former college roommate, lindsey’s adorable nolita apartment and had the pleasure of making jokes with josh’s old friend tyler on his expansive brookyln rooftop. it was a beautiful weekend. we saw the sites, we laughed with old friends over cocktails and meatballs, and we walked until our feet said, “no more”. all in all, i think we did it right.
